We would like to inform you that Moxa is going to make changes to the SDS-3008 and SDS-3016 Series.
Please review the details below to determine how these changes will affect your products and/or operations.
What will change?
To maintain stable supply and design consistency across the new SDS-3000/G3000 Series, several chips and other components will be changed. Some minor changes would also be made to the appearance, but they will not affect the dimensions of the products.
The following changes will be implemented in the new versions:
The rotary DIP switch will be added to the bottom of the SDS-3008 Series to align with the design of the new SDS-3000/G3000 Series and provide an easier configuration option.
A one-side screw will be added to the terminal block to provide better reliability. The current terminal block is compatible with the new top panel design.
- Minor appearance changes:
- The I/O position on the top panel shifts slightly, placing it in the middle of the panel.
- The inscription with the port number shifts slightly.

The new product versions will be embedded with the new firmware version v3.0, with additional functions, including Fiber Check and Trusted Access. Firmware version v3.0 is compatible with both current and new hardware version products, but firmware version v2.2 or before is not compatible with the new hardware product versions.

When will the new versions be available?
These changes are expected to be implemented in 2026, but the actual schedule is subject to change based on market conditions. The exact schedule will be updated once it is confirmed.
