The MOXA C218Turbo Series allows you to install additional RS-232 serial communication ports on your PC by providing 8 serial ports per board for connecting all types of serial devices.

Specifically designed for small, but performance demanding applications, the MOXA C218Turbo is a world class I/O serial board, offering a reliable, high performance solution for serial multiport communicaions.

With its state-of-the-art ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit), on-board RISC processor (TI TMS320), and large I/O buffer (512 KB), this intelligent communication board can maintain a sustained high 230.4 Kbps throughput on all eight ports simultaneously, while occupying only 5% of the host’s processor time.* Thus more host resources are freed up for other tasks. This feature is particularly applicable to fast response demanding industrial control applications and high speed telecommunication applications. The needs of users’ varied applications are truly fulfilled by the MOXA C218Turbo board’s versatile OS driver support.
